Toru Takeuchi and our laboratory have been working towards the goal of realizing
"elegant and tough structural designs" through research for practical design,
focusing on steel structures, damage control, and structural design,
and applying research results to actual buildings.

Specific research themes to date include:
- Earthquake response evaluation of three-dimensional and spatial structures
- Damage control of steel structures using energy absorbing members
- Buckling control and energy absorption performance of steel structural members

This page introduces some of them.
